Two containers are available for businesses to rent in Porthcawl for the purpose of boosting small commercial business enterprises in the area.
The containers are situated in Hillsboro South car park, next to the Harlequin building and are available for a temporary period of 3 years.
Any businesses who are interested must adhere to the below criteria:
- Must cater for visitors and the local community
- Business must fall within the A1 use class and provides goods or services that enhances the existing offer within the Town Centre
- Must submit evidence that the business can act as an attractor throughout the year for visitors from outside Porthcawl and support its role as a tourist destination
- The successful tenant will be required to:
- Take a lease with a minimum term of 1 year and maximum term of 2 years. Landlord or Tenant can break the lease by giving 3 months’ notice in writing
- Open at least 6 days per week
- Cover utility costs (Water and Electricity)
- Pay a peak time rent (1 March to 31 October) of £125 per week and an off-peak rent (1 November to 28 February) of £75 per week (£5650pa)
- Obtain adequate public liability insurance
