Porthcawl Animal Welfare Society

About Porthcawl Animal Welfare Society

PAWS provides services caring for abandoned and injured animals in Porthcawl.

We care for injured and abandoned cats and dogs and find new homes for them within the Porthcawl area. We are a local charity and all our funds go to the welfare of the animals.

Our main source of income is from our shop in Lias Road which is manned by unpaid volunteers as is the committee. We rely on their good will to maintain our services in caring for the welfare of animals in Porthcawl. Please come to our shop to buy books, clothes and bric a brac and to donate items for sale.

We also welcome anyone wishing to volunteer their time and energy in any of the aspects of our activities including fund raising, working in the shop and dog walking. If you are interested please leave your details at our shop and a member of the committee will contact you. Please see also see our Get Involved page

We welcome all gifts and donations which support our ongoing care of animals in our location.

Last year alone, we rehomed over 40 dogs and provided vetinary treatment for over 200 animals and we are constantly looking for good homes for our dogs and cats.

New members are always welcome to the society and if you are interested, please call us on 01656 773307 or email us: pawsporthcawl@hotmail.com
