Meeting In Gone Solar

On Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, the Porthcawl Chamber of Trade met at Gone Solar on John Street, Porthcawl. This meeting featured an online presentation from Marc Clifford of On The Line Digital Marketing. Hosted by Nathan Goldsworthy of Gone Solar, the event focused on boosting the Chamber’s digital presence to better support local businesses.

Marc Clifford shared ideas for revamping the Chamber’s website. His plan includes showcasing local businesses and highlighting the strong connections within the Chamber. The goal is to create a lively platform that reflects the unique character and personality of each business, making the website a valuable resource for the community.

One key suggestion was to use social media, especially short sixty-second videos. These videos would showcase Chamber meetings, offer business tips, highlight local businesses, and put Porthcawl on the map. This approach taps into the popularity of quick, engaging content that grabs attention.

Jon Hurley and Marc Clifford also reviewed the current Chamber website and its Google Analytics data. This review gave insights into how the website is performing and where improvements can be made, guiding the redesign and content strategy.

Stay tuned for updates as we develop these initiatives and work together to promote businesses in Porthcawl.
